Come On Over

Jessica Simpson wrote in her blog that her new country single “Come on Over” is about “that one love that makes you smile so big that you just gotta have it right now!” If you haven’t heard it yet, listen to the clip above. Jessica is in Nashville shooting photos for her album, which should hit shelves in September. Do you like the song?

And she’s not even 20!

Julianne Hough is celebrating the number-one success of her self-titled debut CD. She set a goal for herself when she was little, “When I was eight years old, I said I want to be a famous singer by the time I was 19. And, it was crazy! I’ve got a couple more months until I’m 20.” Her new CD features the hit single, “That Song in My Head.”

My Life’s A Country Song

New details are surfacing about the arrests of Chris Cagle and his girlfriend Jennifer Tant earlier this week in Nashville. According to Davidson County court affidavits, the couple had visited an area bar and, upon leaving, began arguing. The argument turned physical once they reached home. Jennifer hit Chris in the head with an umbrella, and he retaliated by hitting her in the head with her purse before pushing her away. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Department was called to the country star’s Nashville home, and officers found both to be intoxicated and showing visible signs of abuse. Chris stated that he wanted Jennifer out of his home and his life, but she said the only way she would leave is if she went to jail. Both were considered primary aggressors and were held for 12 hours before being released on $1500 bond each.
