I used to work with a woman who would cry at work several times per week. When I first started working with her it really annoyed me. She wasn’t the best employee. In fact, she hardly ever got all of her work done. She had more excuses that anyone that I’ve ever met. She would only turn on the tears when she was about to be questioned by the boss, or when she was asked to do something that she didn’t want to do.

I’ve always believed that work is not the place to cry. There are exceptions, though I’d like to think most people wouldn’t use tears as a way to get sympathy when they are not performing well.
