Contrary to popular belief these things aren’t cool!
Thursday, May 15th, 2008There are a lot of accessories that people are convinced they “can’t live without” or they “have to have.” These accessories are considered cool by some people. Today I’m going to take a few minutes to debunk several of these “cool” accessories.
1) Bluetooth headsets: Yes, they are fully functional…WHEN YOU’RE IN THE CAR! Why aren’t they cool? People love to leave them in 24/7. I have a friend, love him to death, but I think he’s had his Bluetooth implanted. I’ll be in the middle of a conversation with him and then I’ll realize that he’s been on the phone the whole time and I’m actually talking to myself.
2) Ringback tones: My aunt is a dog trainer and so every time I call her I have to listen to “Who Let the Dogs Out.” Okay, okay, I used to have one. So, why aren’t they cool? Every message from my Grandmother sounded like this, “Weslea? Weslea? I don’t know if I’m actually leaving you a message, there was a song. I think there was a beep…..”
3) The Amazing Balancing Baseball Hat: I’ve noticed that the younger generations of men like to wear their baseball hats in the most unusual ways. Sometimes they wear them sideways, other times they gently set it atop their noggin and pray that there won’t be wind! Why isn’t this cool? It doesn’t block the sun from your eyes if it’s worn sideways. Not to mention, it seems like it would be a constant battle to keep it in place if it’s just barely placed on one’s head.
Help me add to this list! What accessories do you want to debunk? What things drive you nuts?
