Guitars & Stars

I love WBEE’s Guitars and Stars show. My favorite behind-the-scenes Guitars & Stars moment was a few shows ago. One of the artists (maybe it was Gary Nichols) had a bit too much to drink. He thought it would be funny to autograph another one of the artist’s guitars with a SHARPIE (maybe it was Chris Young). You can imagine how well that joke went over! Luckily the guitar wasn’t ruined, the artist found some Goo-Be-Gone or something at Wal-Mart.

Today I’ll be broadcasting from the Ballantyne RV studio at the Dome all day, stop by and say hello. If you haven’t checked out the Guitars and Stars survival guide click here!

Also, you have ONE MORE CHANCE to win tickets for tonight’s SOLD OUT show. We’ll be at the Distillery on Winton Rd (click here for directions) from noon-1p today.

As we get ready for tonight’s show, take a moment to share your favorite Guitars & Stars memories with me…

My husband and I had GREAT seats for the last Guitars and Stars show (4th row!) I was 2 weeks away from my due date with our 4th child. So needless to say I was waddling and HUGE! Every time Jason Michael Carroll sang the baby moved like crazy! (his voice is so low and resonant I really think the baby could hear it!)I kept having my husband feel my stomach as it moved. At the end of one of his songs I put my hands up to yell and applaud. My husband freaked out. He looked down and saw a puddle at my feet!!!! He screamed, “did your water just break?” For a second I thought it did even though i didn’t feel anything. The girl next to us had spilled her drink at my feet. We laughed so hard and were relived that we could stay and didn’t have to rush to the hospital!
