Retail Deals for Stimulus Checks
We’ve all heard about the economic stimulus checks that are going to be showing up soon. Under the plan, individuals who have filed their tax returns for the year can receive up to $600 and families can get up to $1,200.
Depending on the last two digits of your Social Security Number your check could arrive as soon as this week (Click here to find out when you’ll get yours). My husband got his at the beginning of the week. As a result, we ended up at Best Buy last night, we walked away with PS3 (Play Station 3).
Some retailers are offering incentive for you to spend all your money with them. Click here to read the article. Sears and K-Mart will offer a 10 percent bonus to anyone who converts their check into a Sears or Kmart gift card. Is that enough for you to hand all your money over to Sears or Kmart?
What are you going to do with your economic stimulus check? Is it going to bills? Or, are you going to do something fun?

We are going put our $1800 in a bank account for Christmas presents so Christmas will not be a financial burden this year. My opinion is that anyone who has credit card debt should use their money to pay off that debt instead of going out and spending more!!

Weslea, I will be paying off my daughters and my vaction package. My husband passed away in “07″ from cancer, one week after my daughters birthday in august. So I figured that after the year that we both had, that we both deserved time away. She and I are spending one entire week in Disney World. We both can’t wait. Have fun with your new toy. Thanks Debbie Pfluke.

My husband and our 8 year old son will be taking a vacation to Washington DC in August. We have not been on a vacation since our son turned 2 and that was with my parents to Niagara Falls, Candada. This trip will be just the three of us.

How to use Your IRS Rebate check…
As you may have heard, each of us will be getting a tax rebate check to stimulate the economy.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.
If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If we purchase a computer it will go to India.
If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Honduras, and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.
If we purchase useless stuff it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America.
The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales , since those are the only businesses left owned by Americans !!!

We are putting new vinyl siding on our house with our $1500 check. That will help with the heating costs on those cold upstate NY kind of days.

It’s kinda sad to hear about people spending their checks on all these gadgets that are built overseas - it’s hard to see how that really helps the American Economy. Me, I spent my check at a NY retailer on a new Remington hunting rifle - they’re built in Ilion, NY. I feel a little better about helping out the ailing NY Economy and it’s something that will see good use for the rest of my life - it’ll probably even keep stimulating the economy every time I send a deer off to be butchered.

Unfortanly, the money I get back will be for bills, and hopefully and trip to florida for a wedding, if I get money back.
