WoW are we talking facts or principle?!?!?!

First on the sex charges... Here is the Law in Florida where is happened..
It’s extremely unlikely. Each state determines the age of consent within its borders. In Florida, where Clemens’ affair with McCready allegedly began 17 years ago, the age of consent is 16. However, the statute of limitations would have expired long ago. Even in a state with an expanded statute of limitations for child molestation, the only way I can conceive of this charge even being investigated is if McCready goes to law enforcement with evidence and there is corroboration.

2nd - As a HUGE Yankee fan I think Roger is a chump.. He lies, cheats and steals and never belonged in Pinstripes. But look at her arrest record too...

In August of 2004, McCready was arrested in Tennessee for using a fake prescription to buy the painkiller OxyContin. Although she initially denied the charge, she pled guilty and was fined $4,000, sentenced to three years probation, and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
In May of 2005, she was stopped by Nashville police for speeding and then arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Two days later, her ex-boyfriend and aspiring country singer, Billy McKnight, allegedly broke into her house and beat and choked her. He was charged with attempted murder and aggravated burglary.
In July of 2005, she was charged in Arizona with identity theft, attempted fraudulent scheme and artifices, unlawful imprisonment, hindering prosecution and unlawful use of transportation. Police said she and a man stole a truck and forced a woman to accompany them against her will. Her lawyer claimed that she was in the process of helping authorities catch an alleged con artist who had bilked her and 35 other celebrities when the charges were filed.
The following week she was found unconscious in a hotel lobby in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. She was hospitalized due to a drug overdose after washing down a large amount of undisclosed drugs with alcohol. Authorities soon claimed the incident to be a suicide attempt which she eventually confirmed.
In August of 2005, an arrest warrant was issued for McCready for violation of her probation when she left Tennessee without permission from her probation officer. McCready was also charged with not reporting to her probation officer during July. She was finally arrested in Florida and returned to Tennessee. In September of 2005, during a court appearance in Tennessee to appeal terms of her bail, she confirmed that the drug overdose in Florida was a suicide attempt. She added that the attempt came after learning she was pregnant with McKnight's baby. Just four days later, she was again hospitalized after overdosing on antidepressants after arguing with McKnight over their unborn baby.
In July of 2006, a jury of 12 found McCready not guilty of driving under the influence, but found her guilty on the charge of driving on a suspended license.
McCready faced a hearing later in 2006 on charges of violating her probation on a drug charge by failing to check in with her probation officer and leaving the state without permission to go to Florida.
In July of 2007, McCready was arrested in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was charged with battery and resisting arrest for an apparent scuffle with her mother. McCready was taken into custody at the Nashville International Airport for breaking her parole on 2 charges.
In September of 2007, McCready was sentenced to a year in jail for violating probation. In addition to the jail time, McCready was ordered to serve two more years of probation and perform 200 additional hours of community service.
She was released from jail in December.

So after not being able to make a living herself via legal and illegal methods.. She is now going to go after someone else's money..

I find this disgusting!! A 28 year old Clemens and a 15 year old McCready both should have been able to comprehend that this was wrong and unacceptable. Given the age though of McCready when this started brings along with it implications of statutory rape by Clemens. So there are more than just cheating issues here. My heart goes out to the wife and children of Clemens. I feel no compassion for Clemens or McCready. What they did is WRONG!!

One thing I haven't heard in this disucssion is the potential legal consequences for Clemens. The newspaper reports indicate that he and McCrady first met when she was 15. Although apparently nothing happened during that first meeting, if the two began an intimate relationship prior to her turning 18, in most states this is considered Statutory Rape. Statutory Rape is typically a "Strict Liability" crime, which means he generally can't use the defense of whether he thought she was 18 or over. All court typically look to is whether one individual was under age, and whether intimate contact occurred. So one has to wonder if Clemens will ultimately be looking at criminal charges?

While cheating is completely unacceptable It should remain a personal and private issue. Celebrity or not! IF you found out your husband was cheating on you, would you want our radio stations brodcasting it......CONTINOUSLY?????
Drop it and move on to something else.

I agree with the last caller to a certain extent. I don't believe in cheating and maybe those pictures of Miley in Vanity Fair are inappropriate but by continually talking about these issues we're giving them way more importance than they deserve. Get on with playing the music, that's the reason I started listening to this station about 10 years, entirely too much talking and not enough music.

Thank you.
